Welcome to my site. On these pages I will tell more about my interests:

Photography

Macro photography, mainly of insects but also nature in general, has been an hobby since the 80's. The different forms in a landscape are also of interest. Trying to take a nicely balanced image in an interesting light is enticing. Photo galleries

Classical music

My interest for the highest form of art, the symphony, dates back to the 70’s. The master in this style is without doubt Anton Bruckner. Quoting Fritz Grüninger: “the strongest experience of his music is the experience of the eternal, the resurrection of the spirit over death and perishability. This conviction emanates from the monumental sonorous end scores in his symphonies”.  In this genre one must also mention Beethoven and Brahms. The former’s symphony 3-9, violin concerto and piano concertos and the latter’s four symphonies as well as the choral work A German Requiem also belong to my favourites. The swedish composer Allan Pettersson is also worth mentioning in this context.

Long distance running/biking

Running long distances has for me been a way of testing the physical limits. This continous repetition of movements gives a meditative effect, a contrast to the everyday life. I ran my first marathon in Stockholm 1997 and has, so far, done 36 marathons/ultras. A good alternative to running is road biking.

Trekking

If you want to experience a 3-dimensional image of this world that truly gives you exultation, trekking in Himalaya is the ultimate choice. To see the highest peaks in the world in a blooming rhodoendron forest is an unforgettable experience.
